With Mother's Day quickly approaching, this week has been a little more geared towards the Mom's. So it wouldn't be perfect without a perfect spring baby bump feature. :)

Annahy contacted me a few weeks ago to set a date for her maternity session, she had already planned the location and all the details for her session. Kudos to her, because I didn't really know that what this gorgeous property entailed until I arrived......WHAT AN AMAZING LOCATION!!! Offering an amazing garden, a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and some show horses. Can you believe this is someone's home??? 

As Annahy and Santigo begin to prepare for this bundle of joy, they have decided to wait until birth to find out if it is a boy or a girl.....serious HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?! I know many moms and dads just can't wait to find out to get the nursery ready before baby. So with just a few short weeks waiting I know Annahy can't wait to welcome this baby into the world, and I can't wait to get an update after he or she is here! :)

New Website, New Brand, New ME l Personal

YAY!!! My new showit site is up. It is rather hard to believe I started building this before myself and Erica left for Vegas to WPPI in February. Through blood, sweat, and tear.....ok let's be real more so through lots of cursing on my end and on the phone with godaddy and Erica laughing, the hard work has paid off.

My inspiration on switching from a rather dark site to this was ME. I have changed, things in my life have changed, and my photography style has changed. This site is more me. I LOVE pink and I LOVE sparkly everything. Through designing a new logo to finding out what fonts say 'Crystal Reyns,' this is a blessing for great things to come. And yes you really have to view fonts like that when branding yourself.

I have so much to say about this gorgeous, full of smiles family. Where to start.....I met Maria back in my college days when I was waitress-ing/bar-tending at the good 'ol Applebees. (I actually loved bar-tending) I am very thankful to stay in touch with a lot of people I worked with there.

I met up with Maria last year for her maternity session on a cold cold winter morning on UVA campus. Not only did she look like a total rock star then, but how gorgeous and fit does she look now?? I'm totally jealous, and I didn't even have a baby. During the time of her maternity session, Brandon was stationed overseas, so he wasn't able to be a part of it.....total bummer, and thank you for all you do for our country!!!

As we planned their family session, and Sophia's one year old session I became soooo excited to see her and the kiddos, and meet Brandon. WOW what a year difference makes for all the kids. They had drove up from North Carolina to meet me in Charlottesville for their session.....I feel so amazingly special that they traveled for me to capture these moments in time. We started with the family part of their session before bringing cake out for Miss Sophia.
