Conard l Richmond, Va Newborn Photographer l Crystal Reyns Photography

Little Conard was born 12 days prior to his session, at a whoping 8lbs 5oz. I am beyond proud of Ashley for going through natural child birth, honestly I don't know how you did it. I have known Ashley since we were kids, and boy do we have some great memories. This was the first session I have ever cried during the editing process. I was over emotional because I have known Ashley for so long, I was able to take her couple pictures weeks before her getting engaged, her bridals along with Sammi, being a part of her wedding, and now her bundle of joy. What an honor it is to share all of these moments with you Ashley, and I look forward to many more.

Heather l Louisa, Va Lifestyle Portrait Photographer

Heather won a contest, or I don't know if you can call it a contest, but it was a session that went to the highest bidder to help a fellow photographer pay for funeral back in 2012. Heather wanted to hold off her session until Spring of 2013. Well, the months flew by very fast and her session was on a warm sunny evening in the town of Louisa, Va. We had a lot of fun and I was able to capture her sassy side and her country girl side. :)

Jaclyn Senior Portraits l King William, Va l Crystal Reyns Photography

Jaclyn was the first up for my models for Class of 2013, which is a great group of kids that I have. She is such a sweet and beautiful person on the inside and out, I foresee great things for her in her future. The beginning of this session was not the greatest if I say so myself; let's just say a phone call to Nikon technical support is never good and leaves a stressed photographer. Any who, after getting off the phone with them, we were all good to go. Jaclyn was slightly nervous upon her arrival to my wonderful assistant photographer's house, which is where we set up the studio for her yearbook portraits. Then we headed out to a couple of farms in the area that are just absolutely gorgeous. Jaclyn thanks for not only being a part of my senior model group, but thanks for a fun evening. :)

Isn't she just gorgeous?

I'm telling you model potential here!!

Little country girl. :)

AMAZING sun set over this farm.

Little sun flare please?!

FAV!

Annabelle Cake Smash l Louisa, Va Portrait Photographer

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the fun of a cake smash session, because kids are allowed to get dirty and they should have fun doing it. I personally have so much fun during these sessions because you never exactly know what you are going to get with a one year old. This year I have done quite a few of these types of sessions. I offer to make the big style cupcakes, but this session I wanted to be a bit more girly. So I attempted my FIRST EVER Barbie cake, don't hate. Annabelle's dad definately gave me the best facial expression ever when I told him I would need a naked barbie, random I know. I think he was very impressed in my mad cake decorating skills once they saw what I did with the 'naked barbie.' LOL Annabelle was not into the cake smashing as much as I thought she would be, but I did get a few good ones of her, and she was nice enough to share the cake with her sister, dad, uncle, the dogs, and ME!

Not too bad on the decorating. :)

Such a little cutie!

 Cake Smash Anyone?
I absolutely LOVE all of the Alice in wonderland themed sessions, from lifestyle, bridal, to engagement. They are fun and unique. I have done one other Alice in Wonderland session in the past, and it was fun, but only with one AMAZING model. This time I wanted more than just one character. So I was in touch with a few boutiques, Corrina Creations for the Alice tutu, and Sassy & Sweet Bowtique for the Queen of Hearts and Cheshire Cat tutus. Dealing with more than one subject is quite a bit of work, especially when they are children. I spent weeks preparing for this shoot, props, makeup, picking out hair styles, placing order for the Alice in Wonderland themed cake from Cakes by Jennifer in Louisa, Va, and accessories to go with the outfit (top hat, jewelry, nail polish, etc). I wanted everything to be PERFECT! Here are a few images from this day:
